One of the most prestigious Italian brands, renowned for its boutique production of top of the range carbon fiber and carbon/steel frames, is now arriving in the North American market.

Scapin is one of the most prestigious Italian brands, renowned for their quality together alongside DeRosa, Pinarello and Colnago. In fact, the Scapin bikes are the sole mountain bikes ever to win the Compasso d'Oro, the most prestigious Italian Design Award.

Founded in 1957 by Umberto Scapin, a former pro rider, the brand has become known through for the attention to detail, artisanal craftsmanship, high quality and the technological excellence of its creations.

The Fontana family, owners of the Olympia brand, bought Scapin in 2005 and started investing in R&D, guided by the experience of the firm's historical designer: Stefano Scapin. Today, the Scapin brand offers a full range of high quality mountain bikes and road racing frames and complete bikes, including full carbon fiber or full steel frames as well as creative but highly performing mixed solutions (carbon/steel tubes) and hydroformed aluminum framesets representing outstanding value.

Recent technical innovations include a unique S-shaped proprietary ISP clamp, CFS comfort flex seat-stay system, wing-shaped single-rivet-point cable bosses, use of press-fit carbon BB's, tapered headtubes and more! As far as the quality of the manufacturing of steel and high-end carbon fiber frames is concerned, each Scapin produced bike is a jewel, rigorously Made in Italy, consisting of meticulous details that include both patented systems and the use of the finest materials from Columbus tubing. With custom geometries available for many models at affordable rates, hand-made Italian quality has never been so attainable.
